Terms of Service for Sonjj.com governing website access, membership subscriptions, developer APIs, payment terms, and acceptable use.

Welcome to Sonjj.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Sonjj ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Sonjj.com platform.

By accessing or using our website at https://sonjj.com, subscribing to our membership plans, using our developer APIs, or utilizing any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

Sonjj.com provides technical content, digital membership services, and developer tooling:

  1. Engineering Knowledge Hub & Blog: Practical articles, tutorials, software architecture case studies, and engineering workflows.
  2. Membership Subscriptions (Ghost CMS): Paid digital access granting full entry to premium technical case studies, advanced guides, and monthly developer API quota.
  3. Developer APIs & Tools: RESTful APIs, documentation, and tooling designed for software development, automation, email verification, and testing workflows.
  4. Unified Ecosystem Credits (my.sonjj.com): Access to shared developer credits usable across affiliated tools within the SONJJ ecosystem (including SmailPro, YChecker, SMSer, UGener, CardGener, and StoreGmail). Additional credit purchases are conducted separately within the my.sonjj.com portal.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features, including premium articles and developer APIs, you may need to register an account.

  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, including login links, passwords, and API keys.
  • No Transfer: You may not sell, transfer, or share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized third parties.
  • Notification: You must notify us immediately at support@sonjj.com if you suspect any unauthorized use or breach of your account security.

4. Membership Plans, Billing & Payments

We offer both free access and recurring paid subscriptions through Ghost CMS.

4.1 Membership Tiers

  • Free Account ($0): Access to public articles, tutorials, and general email newsletters.
  • Pro Member ($4.99 / month or $50.00 / year):
    • Full access to all premium articles on the blog.
    • 5,000 monthly developer API credits.
    • Standard priority email support (response within 24–48 hours).
  • Premium Member ($49.99 / month or $470.00 / year):
    • Full access to all premium technical content, architecture deep dives, and system case studies.
    • 65,000 monthly developer API credits usable across supported ecosystem tools.
    • High-priority email support (response within 24 hours).
    • Early access to new developer APIs and experimental tools.

4.2 Payment Processing & Statement Descriptor

  • Payments are processed securely via third-party payment platforms, primarily Stripe (Stripe Privacy Policy).
  • All prices are quoted and charged in USD unless stated otherwise.
  • We do not store raw credit card numbers or sensitive payment details on our servers.
  • Charges on your credit card or bank statement will appear with the descriptor SONJJ.COM.

4.3 Digital Delivery & Instant Access

All membership benefits, premium technical article access, and monthly developer API quotas are delivered digitally and provisioned instantaneously upon successful payment confirmation via Stripe. We do not ship physical products.

4.4 Automatic Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to your chosen billing cycle (monthly or yearly). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it before the renewal date.

4.5 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Access your account settings directly through the Ghost Membership Portal on https://sonjj.com.
  • Click "Cancel Subscription" to stop future automatic billings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You will retain full membership benefits and access until that period concludes. No further charges will occur thereafter.

4.6 Separation of Ghost Memberships and Ecosystem Credits

  • Ghost CMS Subscriptions (sonjj.com): Paid recurring memberships (Pro and Premium) described in Section 4.1 are processed on sonjj.com via Stripe. Stripe on sonjj.com is dedicated to processing recurring membership access, premium content unlocking, and standard monthly quota allocations.
  • Pay-As-You-Go Credits (my.sonjj.com): To purchase additional or standalone developer credits for use across ecosystem tools, users must sign in to the member portal at my.sonjj.com and complete transactions directly through the payment systems hosted within that portal. Credit purchases on my.sonjj.com are managed independently from the recurring Ghost CMS membership subscriptions on sonjj.com.

5. Customer-First Refund & Billing Support Policy

At Sonjj, we prioritize user satisfaction and long-term trust over strict contractual rigidity. We understand that mistakes happen, subscriptions get forgotten, or services may not fit your immediate workflow. We are committed to supporting you generously with flexible refund options.

5.1 First-Time Subscriptions: 14-Day Full Refund & 30-Day Partial Pro-Rata

  • Within 14 Days (100% Full Refund): If you subscribe to any paid membership plan (Pro or Premium) for the first time and find that the content or tooling doesn't match your expectations, email support@sonjj.com within 14 calendar days for an unconditional, 100% full refund.
  • Between 15 and 30 Days (Fair Pro-Rata / Partial Refund): If you decide to cancel past 14 days but within the first month, we offer a fair partial refund based on the remaining unused days of that month, or credit towards other ecosystem tools—even if you have partially explored the articles.

5.2 Subscription Renewals: Generous 7-Day Grace Period

We know how easy it is to forget an automatic subscription renewal:

  • Forgot to Cancel? (7-Day Full Refund): If your subscription renewed automatically and you simply forgot to cancel it, contact us within 7 calendar days of the renewal charge. As long as you haven't actively consumed significant new API quotas of the new cycle, we will happily process a 100% full refund with zero hassle.
  • Past 7 Days: Even if more than 7 days have elapsed since the renewal date, reach out to us at support@sonjj.com. We review every situation in good faith and will work out an agreeable resolution, such as a pro-rated refund for the remaining cycle or rolling over credits.

5.3 Annual Plans: Pro-Rata Guarantee

If you purchase an annual subscription and your circumstances change:

  • Within 30 days: You are eligible for a 100% full refund.
  • After 30 days: Contact support to cancel. We will calculate the service used at standard monthly pricing and refund the entire remaining unused balance of your annual fee.

5.4 Erroneous, Duplicate, or Unrecognized Charges

If you ever see a double charge, a billing calculation error, or an unrecognized transaction with the descriptor SONJJ.COM, please contact us directly at support@sonjj.com before initiating a formal bank chargeback. Bank disputes can take months to resolve; we can verify and issue your refund directly to your card via Stripe within 24 to 48 hours.

5.5 How to Request a Refund

Simply send an email to support@sonjj.com from your account email address with:

  1. Your account email address.
  2. The reason or a brief note (e.g., "Forgot to cancel my renewal").
  3. Once approved, Stripe automatically processes the refund back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your issuing bank.

5.6 Pay-As-You-Go Ecosystem Credits (my.sonjj.com)

Purchases of pay-as-you-go credits conducted within my.sonjj.com that have already been credited to your account balance or consumed across API endpoints are generally non-refundable. However, if you accidentally purchased duplicate credit packs within my.sonjj.com and have not consumed them, contact us immediately at support@sonjj.com for assistance.

6. Developer API Usage & Quotas

If your plan includes API access or you use Sonjj.com APIs:

  • API License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to query our APIs in accordance with our documentation and rate limits.
  • Quotas & Fair Use: API usage must adhere to the specific request quotas and concurrency limits designated for your plan. Exceeding limits may result in rate-limiting (HTTP 429) or temporary suspension.
  • Key Protection: You must keep your API keys confidential. Any activity originating from your API keys remains your sole responsibility.

7. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree not to use the Service, its content, or its APIs for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful purpose. Specifically, you agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Conduct fraud, identity theft, unauthorized account creation, or phishing.
  • Transmit or distribute spam, unsolicited commercial emails, or malware.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise the vulnerability of our servers, networks, or applications.
  • Perform denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks or deliberately overload our infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying source code of our proprietary systems.
  • Resell, sublicense, or distribute API access to unauthorized third parties without prior written consent.

Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and API access without refund, and potential reporting to law enforcement authorities.

8. Intellectual Property

All content published on Sonjj.com — including technical articles, tutorials, graphics, source code snippets, logos, and documentation — is the intellectual property of Sonjj / Sonjj.com, protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may read, bookmark, and reference our content for personal or educational use. You may not republish, scrape in bulk, sell, or duplicate substantial portions of our proprietary content without explicit prior written authorization.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

9.1 "As-Is" Provision

The Service, documentation, and APIs are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

9.2 Technical Uptime

While we strive for high availability and reliability, we do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Scheduled maintenance, third-party provider outages, or network disruptions may occur.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Sonjj.com, its operator, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities) arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Sonjj.com in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law principles.

In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising from or relating to these Terms, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through good-faith informal consultation by contacting support@sonjj.com. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Vietnam.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, pricing, technical capabilities, or legal obligations.

When revisions occur, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes that materially impact your rights or subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice via email or a prominent notification on our website. Continued use of the Service following the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.
